Affordable Escape at CALLOSPA and RESORT Antipolo

The decision to stay within the Metro during Holy Week was a good one.Instead of queuing long lines joining the flood of people rushing for their hometown or vacation destination outside the Metro,my wife and I were taking our time, lazying by the pool and having a relaxing massage at CALLOSPA and RESORT Antipolo.
CALLO Spa Antipolo

Small = Intimate
CalloSpa is located in Colaique, Antipolo City. It's only 30 minutes away from Ortigas. It is a family owned resort that has been around for more than 10 years.I thought it's a big place when I heard about it.Turns out to be small. But being small doesn't automatically mean bad.To us who were there during Holy Week,it meant we had the place almost all to ourselves. That's when you appreciate this small sanctuary in the hills of Antipolo. For me and my wife, small meant intimate.Really felt like being in a private haven with the simulated rainforest environment.

When NIGHT Falls
.....peace and tranquility sets in.
They don't claim to be high end but since their target market is B and C,they still maintain a certain level of exclusivity in contrast to resorts in the area which almost everybody can afford. This is necessary for small scale resorts para hindi palengke ang labas.

CalloSpa is also well known for weddings and events. The advantage of the place is that they have both indoor and outdoor options for the venue,by the poolside and the covered court which they can decorate and transform into a grand venue.Works for all kinds of weather. This also converts to a badminton place where you can play should you go here with your family of group.

They have wedding packages that are affordable.Click here for the rates.

They currently offer an AFFORDABLE ESCAPE w/ Overnight
worth PhP4,000 during weekdays and Php 4,500 during weekends. This includes,

a.An overnight stay
b.Breakfast for 2
c.1 hour use of Sauna and Jacuzzi
d.1 hour CalloSpa Signature Massage
e.Use of swimming Pool

That's what we tried last time and here's how it was like.
Our Room
I was surprised at how spacious their rooms are for a resort this relatively small. The materials from the tiles,to the sink,to the lights to the toilet are first class.I'd like to mention about the smell of the room as it is very important for me.You know the smell inside saunas? That's how their room smells and that for me is a turn on.You feel clean each time you enter the room.Wall-type aircon, cable tv,fridge,a small table if you want to bring in food. The bed is made of prime wood(you know it's expensive wood) so the uratex foam is forgivable. The important thing is that it's comfy.Still had a restful sleep.

Our Spa/Massage
The advantage about staying overnight is that you can carefully plan for the time you want to have your massage so as not to feel rushed. My wife and started at 6pm which is the last call.We spent an hour having sauna and jacuzzi. We of course love the sauna and are accustomed to it but the jacuzzi was our first time.It was a perfect setup for couples ---the warm bubble bath, the eucalyptus scent, the floating citrus cuts in an intimately lit room ---which will make you wanna stay longer. This you can do together at the same time and the place exclusively for the two of you so it is really a unique romantic experience.

By the time we finished at 8pm,it was already quiet in the resort.Perfect time to relax.Gigi, the lady who massaged me was really good. She was able to hit the right pressure spots so I was really  satisfied.

We had a little problem with dinner though as CalloSpa no in-house restaurant so we had to go out to town for a meal.It was more of our decision though as we wanted to go for a short stroll downtown. You have the option to order food delivery. There are many restaurants in Antipolo which offer food delivery and the people at the front desk are more than willing to help you arrange for it.Just make sure you tell them ahead of time.

PS: I think it would be better if you bring in food for dinner should you decide to stay overnight so as you don't have to go out if you don't feel like doing so.

Our Breakfast
And what about breakfast in an outdoor garden setting?Very good way to start the day especially if the food deliciously home cooked.Nice set by the way.Full Asian Breakfast, with fresh mango slices!.I hope they would have added more rice.Mapapakain ka ng husto kung ganito ang set combination.

A lot of Swimming in between.
The free use of the swimming pool meant a lot of swimming sessions especially in the case of my wife. She swam before having our massage and she did so again early the next day while I was still comfortably tucked in bed.

They have many treatments and packages which will fit your budget. Make sure you follow CALLOSPA on Facebook to know about their latest promos and events.Cheers!
