Kids Eat Free at FLAVORS RESTAURANT Holiday Inn Makati

We frown at hotels which include breakfast on their room rates but offer limited selection on their buffet. You feel cheated.Para kang tinitipid.

Not HOLIDAY INN & SUITES MAKATI, I find their breakfast buffet generous.

And with an ambiance that is modern, bright and comfortable, you feel warmly welcomed.

Best of all, KIDS EAT FREE! Yes, I just said it, Kids Eat Free when accompanied by adults. This is what a child-friendly, family-friendly hotel is about. Sinu ba naman ang di gaganahang kumain.

HOTEL H2O Manila Ocean Park: the softest bed and a giant in-room aquarium

Five years ago, my friend and I were walking along Puka beach Boracay I noticed this tall white guy wandering alone.I greeted him and started a small conversation.T'was my first time in the island but he is no stranger to the place as he has a property in Ilo-ilo and frequents Boracay despite being based in South Korea where he works. It was a short casual talk you do with random strangers.Five years has passed and we still get in touch through small chats on Skype and Facebook.

Last month,he was back in the Philippines again for vacation. He contacted me to say how good his hotel is in Manila which inspired him to write about it.Thus this guest post which I am more than honored to publish. It's not often that I get somebody to volunteer to write out of sheer joy of sharing a good discovery. His name is Phil, and this is what he wrote of Hotel H2O in Manila Ocean Park.

My first HOTEL SOGO experience

Let's be honest. The word "motel" has a negative connotation for us Pinoys. Although the original concept is to provide respite for weary motorists ---thus the name Motorists Hotel---it has become synonymous to "short-time" pleasure. Some purists would therefore stay away from these places.I happen to be not one of them.Yes, I also stay in motels from time to time especially when from out of town and we (me and my wife) feel too tired to go back to Binangonan.

They are cheap and accessible so why not.If it is just a place to spend the night for a sleep deprived soul diba? Hotel Sogo is one of these places. And as the name implies, the brand has evolved into something more than just a motorist hotel but as an accommodation that could cater to the taste of its diverse customers.

How to get to SILOM BANGKOK from Suvarnabhumi International Airport vice versa

Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport is an engineering marvel.Airport palang mapapa-Amazing Thailand kana.We in the Philippines could only wish we have an airport this good.In time I guess.

Flying in and out of Suvarnabhumi is easy.It is an aviation hub so there are so many direct and connecting flights to many destinations worldwide. To get to downtown Bangkok could be a feat though because Bangkok is a cosmopolitan city.

Fall in Love with LUB d BANGKOK Silom

Back to Bangkok, back to the City of Angel's loving embrace.Transferred to another location and accommodation for our last night ------Lub d Bangkok Silom.

The original intention was to stay at entertainment district aka "red light district" as close as possible because the original plan was to end the trip with a bang.We wanted to watch the "notorious shows" in Pat Pong ----only that we ended up buying "pasalubong" rather than drown in booze and enjoy some wild entertainment.lol

Welcome to Lub d Bangkok --Silom

With tourist arrivals (both local and foreign) surging comes accommodations sprouting everywhere. These are exciting times for the hospitality sector. Then comes tough competition ----new spaces constantly challenging established brands. You need to be a standout to be able to survive.Cebu City is no exemption.

One of the hotels making waves in the Queen City of the South is The Henry and I am proud to say that I experienced staying there for three days and two nights last June. The place is impressive and I gave it a review on my blog and tripadvisor.

Barely two months later comes this news that The Henry Cebu has surged into the ranking of Tripadvisor and it is now the #2 Best Hotel in Cebu.A well deserved spot!

"Pamper Me Now" at St.NAILS and SPA

Being a woman, you don’t want someone to see you being unhygienic when it comes to your nails. That’s why I make sure that I go to my favorite salon at least 2-3 times a month.

Hearing the name “St.Nails” made me think of the word “prestigious”, and that thought made me excited. I was imagining a relaxing heavenly type of me time. It’s easy to find St. Nails ---- landmark is the Petron Gas Station, it wouldn't be that much for them to find.

St.NAILS and SPA, I say Pamper Me Now!!!

PATTAYA PLEASURE: A day at the beach of KOH LARN

I am also wondering why with the title.I only took clue from a friend who mentioned in his comment that he doesn't want anything else but Pattaya pleasure.I have no idea what exactly he was referring to but I reckon it has something to do with the city's notorious popularity with night parties and sex trade.

People of course define "pleasure" in different ways.Would have loved to watch "live shows" but we were just here for a day tour so we went to the beach of --- KOH LARN (Coral Island) ---instead.

FOOD FAIR Seafood Market Pattaya Thailand

We went to Pattaya with the hope of seeing thr Elephant Village and Floating Market. Our friend Ghema has been routing to ride an elephant while some of us would like to experience buying stuff from a floating market. Thanks to 2 hours waiting for our van service + 1 hour traffic jam on the way to the terminal in Bangkok, it was already lunchtime when we got to Pattaya. The easiest option therefore was to go to one of the islands ----Koh Larn ---- and try the beach.

cheapest way to PATTAYA from Bangkok

Staying in Khao San Road brings a lot of advantages if you are a first timer in Bangkok and that includes its proximity to the Grand Palace Complex, Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Chinatown.Transportation is a bit constrained though coz there's no train line is nearby.I also noticed that prices are a bit high because the place is famous for backpackers.

One example is when you want to go to Pattaya or Ayutthaya. There are van pick-ups for convenience but comes at an extra charge. We paid 300 Baht for our supposed van transport to Pattaya but found out later on that the actual rate is only 91 baht from the terminal in Victory Monument.

I will talk more on that later.

Pattaya baby!
