Anak ng Putanesca &Talong Parmigiana at OH MY GULAY Session Road

How many times have you been here in Baguio? Asked Vince of http://lakbaybaguio.com/. I quipped --"more than a thousand times". Of course I was just exaggerating back there but I said that to indicate that I have stopped counting long time ago.

It is a shame therefore that of all the times I've been here, I have never tried this restaurant along Session Road known for it's art-deco interior and vegetarian menu.

I am referring to OH MY GULAY. Omg talaga!

THE FOOD
If you think the art-filled interior is already filling to the senses,wait till you taste the food.

Oh My Gulay is a vegetarian restaurant, obviously, and the good thing about it is that you can hardly sense that it's vegetable. That sets it apart from other vegetarian dining places.I remember eating veggiemeat at a mall foodcourt one time and it felt like self-deception. At least with Oh My Gulay,you get to enjoy veggie food with sophistication ----and with sophistication I mean flavorful,sossy dishes.Lakas maka-sosyal na veggie food kumbaga.lol

And the menu in itself will you grin.What about ordering putanesca ,saging at mani love affair, "OMG Salad or Sibuyas Kabute Omelet. Very creative! Even mineral water is name danum in the menu which is the Ilocano word for,yeah you guessed it,water. :)

We ordered ala carte making sure we get a taste of each other's meal. In my case, I went for "Bulaklak Tempura" for appetizer. It's tempura kalabasa blossoms with your choice of tempura sauce or chef's mayo for 70pesos. The tempura in itself is good and it gets better with the dip.

For the main dish, Talong Parmigiana ---which is breaded eggplant over whole wheat bread topped with special red sauce,pesto and cheese for 135pesos.

Try Gulay Burger with Kabute Sibuyas Gravy and mapapa Omaygad ka uli. Anung sinabi ni regular yum.

Also,Oh My Gulay Rice which is native brown rice with ten vegetables in season mixed with Mongolian sauce,topped with steamed tofu and omelet --140php.

At the other corner of the restaurant is VOCAS which is Victor Oteyza Community Art Space.It's a small room with displays of painting you can marvel at and even purchase.And yes,don't be surprised coz even the artwork are,you guessed it right again, vegetables!hahaha.Veggie overload.
