Bridal Buff Package at AHAVIA LOUNGE SPA San Juan

I guess this is what they mean with "A Slice of Manila's Hidden Places".

AHAVIA SPA LOUNGE is no secret but one which is literally hidden (being located inside a residential area in the middle of San Juan rather than on a main road where most business establishments are.) Kailangan mong sadyain tong place na to coz it's not even accessible by public transport but for all the right reasons, it's all worth it!

We have tried so many good spas so I feel nervous each time we check a new one.Nervous for myself for not getting satisfied and nervous for the establishment for the possibility of being bashed out in my blog.haha

Ahavia Loungue Spa_San Juan
Ahavia in Hebrew Language means Loved by God.
Ahavia is also derived from the Hebrew word AHAVA which means to love or to care.

All I cared for during our visit was the massage.I always think of it as the highlight of any treatment.Everything else that comes before and after it is icing on the cake. I was surprised when I asked our therapist on how long will the entire session last for the package we availed of ---3 hours! I thought I am going to die of boredom. Wrong. I felt so relaxed the whole time I wanted to stay longer.
We availed of Bridal Buff Package , the ultimate pampering for couples.

We were lead to a VIP Room upstairs where we changed into robes. The room is spacious, dimly lit, with private bath and a large flat screen tv fixed on the wall. Two massage beds are available, perfect for couples. There is also a closet where you can hang your clothes. It has no lock but the room is secure enough unless you wanna share it with a stranger. One portion of the room's wall is accented with wallpaper for a classy feel.Reminds me so much of The Republiq at Resorts World Manila if you know what I mean.

We were directed back downstairs to another room. That's where we had Hair Spa first. My wife had Intensive Protein Therapy which is perfect for her coz she's been having problem with hair fall these days which I think is something she should take seriously.I always complain that her hair could be found all over the house.Daig ko pang me pet dog sa bahay. She was very delighted with her hair spa. She could tell her hair was moisturized after the treatment. "Ang lambot" ---she remarked.

Mine was "Reviving Peppermint Hair Treatment" for dandruff control. I think I have no dandruff but who knows? Dandruff could start with unhealthy scalp. And this treatment is really nice.I felt so relaxed with the menthol feel of the application on my hair.Simula palang gusto ko nang matulog.

It took us almost an hour for the hair spa.We then went back to our room for the "Body Scrub".

I admit, I don't usually avail of body scrubs. But after the treatment from Ahavia Spa, I think I will be having one more often.

Anti-stress Aroma Scrub: Seasalt-based scrub for my wife and Anti-stress Aroma Scrub (for glowing skin) for me. The therapist assigned to me was very gentle and professional. Sea salt-based mixtures exfoliates and removes dead skin cells from the body to reveal new layers of skin. Hello glowing skin!

We were then asked to shower after the body scrub to wash off the salt and at the same time, our hair treatment. Then came the massage. My favorite part.(Although during that time, I felt I could already go home and already feel very satisfied).

The massage was impeccable! I say, it was the 2nd best I've had to date. Yes, I have noted of the best one, and it was in a resort in Cebu. The massage I had at Ahavia Spa Lounge was therefore the best in Metro Manila. For somebody like me who has chronic back pains and is picky with massage, you already know what that means. And I think I prefer having the 90-minute massage now. I usually go for 1 hour but I think 90 minutes is an ideal time. Hindi bitin.

We went here a few weeks ago.We took the cab from the Bayleaf Intramuros and the taxi driver was not familiar with the place so we had to use our google maps to figure out where it is.Unfortunately, the pin dropped at Ahavia Spa was a miss.It was few blocks away.Medyo nainis na yung taxi so we decided to get off and just as the locals. It's a few blocks down the road pala. If you have Google maps,I guess you'll find it by now coz my wife dropped another pin when we were at Ahavia.

Just in case, here is the map to Ahavia Spa. >>>>click

I had to immediately pack my things afterwards as I have evening shift work while my wife had to stay longer for her manicure and pedicure which goes with the package. Why do women always get more pampering? I am not complaining. I just had the best hair spa + body scrub + massage combo to date. I have no more to ask but for another visit to Ahavia Spa Lounge.

I can't wait to try their new branch in Timog!!!
