Heineken Brings Armin Van Buuren in Manila 2016 #Valkyrie @CaratPh

I am not the party-type. At least not one who is a regular patron of pubs but I still know how to have fun. And I thought "this might not be my crowd" but if it is Valkyrie and Armin Van Buuren playing, "who am I to resist".

Armin van Buuren has been named number one in the prestigious DJ MAG Top 100 poll four times in a row, as the first DJ in the history of the DJ Magazine and an indication of his prolific output over the more than 14 years he’s been dj’ing and producing. Being the official World’s Most Popular DJ is just one of his many achievements, but the driving force behind his success is an overriding passion for dance music.

The concert was originally slated at Mall of Asia Arena but was transferred by the organizers to Valkyrie in The Fort for reasons obvious. Mall of Asia Arena Arena was too big to fill but Valkyrie was a significant size downgrade so people were so packed outside and it was rainy so it was really inconvenient. I think the organizers also failed in terms of managing people traffic. A bit inconvenient.

Gates opened 11:00pm but it was not until midnight when we got in. Inside, the venue was packed. We were already located at the corner near the bar. Another dj was playing at that time and the mood was already festive so imagine how crazy the crowd went when dj Armin started playing.

Even as non-discophille, I found myself dancing to the lively beat of dj Armin. That while holding Heineken on one hand. This drink is a killer, i was tipsy after the 2nd bottle. Or was it because I was tired after a long week of work. I was all good after my 5th bottle.

I invited a fellow blogger, Glen Santillan or www.escapemanila.com to go with me as he was in Manila and we were supposed to meet for dinner that night but was cancelled due to hectic schedule. It was my first time to meet Glen in person after years of knowing each other on Facebook. Glen, I know it was not also your crowd but I couldn't find another time to meet so I dragged you here for the opportunity to see each other finally. Hope enjoyed somewhat, the songs of Armin and Heineken. Ahehe

With us were peeps from Carat Philippines. Carat Ph was responsible for boosting the sales of Heineken in the country. Thanks Jake Zakk for inviting me over. Might not be our crowd but I definitely enjoyed it. November 25 will be I will remember for years to come. ^^
