What I bought for 2,000php at SM North Edsa's GREAT NORTHERN SALE

I was reading this CNN report last night analyzing why the Philippine economy grew robustly in the 1st quarter of 2012 despite the global slowdown, the crisis in Europe, the cooling down of economies of India and China.There were a few reasons mentioned.One of which is the fact that the Philippine economy is driven by consumption.

True.Go to shopping malls and you don't feel that there is a Global Slowdown.Crisis?What Crisis?Not in Manila and definitely not in Quezon City where the GREAT NORTHERN SALE is ongoing.

If you haven't---where have you been?Everybody's going crazy about it.And while I don't usually prefer braving the crowd,me and my wife decided to give it a go.The challenge is to restrict the budget to a particular amount and see how far it can go.In our case 2,000php.My wife's big grin turned into a frown in a second when I told her that.I understand her though.What can you buy with two thousand pesos these days? More so,it is easier to think of a single item that would cost two thousand pesos than think of small items you can buy out of it.

So what did we buy with our 2,000 pesos?
Told my wife to stick on small item that would be very helpful.So there should be justification why these items were picked.Mostly by my wife :(


1) A 5-piece handkerchief, large,assorted colors.

REASON:because my wife sweats a lot and they usually have these programs in

school where they put handkerchief on their forehead

2. Miracle Towel, what?

REASON:well, it's 100% microfiber,super absorbent ,quick drying ,lighweight + wife likes it.
So no objection.Necessities plssss. :)

NOW:64.87php
saved:65php

3. Gondol Microwavable Food Saver

REASON: wife likes it because of the color.hahaha
despite only 10% discount.
Looks like my wife is not aiming for the big discounts.She going for color! :(

4. BIOFRESH Socks (pack of 3)

REASON: beacuse as at Physical Education teacher,my wife needs lots of socks. :)
Original price: 300php
discount---50%
savings: 150php

5.Microfiber All-purpose Cloth

 

 REASON: because wife said ang dumi naraw ng bahay.Okay :(
NON DISCOUNTED

6.All-Star SHORTS ---sa wakas, I got my share! :)

original price--- 250php
less---50php

So far so good.But the downfall came............

Tada!!!!! BEACH TOWELS!!!

GREEN---because my wife is a Girl Scout coordinator kaya dapat green din daw.nyahaha 

BLUE-----for me because I love blue and its exactly how the 

beach towels are the Alta Vista de Boracay and Hotel Towels at Marriott Manila

and I said to myself before that i will never rest until i find one!Yay!

savings ---700pesos (2pieces)
that's BIG savings!!!
 

I am sooooo in love with the towels I took photos of em at the taxi again on our way to Resorts World Manila to watch DRUM TAO!

 A happy wife=a happy marriage :)
