The CENTER SUITES Cebu City: the practical choice

We made it back to Sta.Fe port in time for the last ferry to leave for Hagnaya. We were lucky our pedecab driver was quick.

The last ferry saw only a few passengers.I saw less than 20 people on board. It was another 1-ride.Though old,the ship surprisingly has flat screen tv on board.I tried to entertain myself with the movie on showing.

It was already 7pm when we got to Hagnaya port.We missed the last Ceres bus so we contacted a tricycle to take us to Bago City where the last bus trip to Cebu City is at 9pm.Pahirapan kumuha ng tricycle (Haggling for a tricycle ride was a pain in the neck). The regular passenger tricycles were already retired for the day so we moved from one street corner to another to talk to some tricycles on stand by.They wanted to charge us 150pesos for a special trip when in the the regular fare is only 30 pesos per head.

Thanks to the help of a local who were on the same ferry with us,she got to talk to a tricycle driver passing by,The driver agreed to take us to Bago City for 30pesos per head.Me and my wife were the only passenger.I gave him all the small bills I have left in my wallet (including all the coins) amounting to 95pesos.I know how to reward non-abusive drivers.

We left Bago City Central Terminal at around 8:30pm.It took two and a half hours to get to Cebu City.We were in Mega Cebu by 11pm.We went straight to The Center Suites from the North Central Terminal in Mandaue.

Since our flight back to Manila would be 5am the next day,The Center Suites was the perfect choice for a short overnight stay. It's impractical to go for an expensive accommodation especially if you are just staying for a few hours of sleep. The Center Suites offers budget rooms for the budget conscious traveler without sacrificing quality.

We stayed in a De Luxe Matrimonial Room.Spacious with a Queen Size bed.cable tv,hot shower, fully airconditioned,in-room lockers and CCTV camera on hallways---what more to ask for?

I was ready to pay for our room but the management insisted to take us as guests of the hotel. Many thanks indeed.

My wife and I were at The Center suites a few months back but we didn't check in.I just made a courtesy call to the management last time as I wanted to introduce it to my readers. You can read the story here:.The CENTER SUITES Cebu:budget accommodation meets luxury.

Back then, the 1st floor was already open but they were still finishing the interiors at the 2nd floor.I was one of the first bloggers who wrote about this New Budget Accommodation in Cebu City. This time,The Center Suites is already fully operational.

WHAT HAS CHANGED?

The owner's son,Johnn, who is a buddy of mine,a fellow blogger and the one in charge of The Center Suite's marketing took time to show us around.Saw the boardroom finally fully operational.

He even took us to their cozy private suite which they are thinking of opening to group staycations. And the rooftop where group parties/events could be held.

Johnn said I am one of the 1st few bloggers to see the rooftop area.Honored.
Isn't it lovely?

Had a hot shower when we got back in our room and a sound sleep ensued. We were fully charged for our early flight to Manila the next day.

Thanks The Center Suites for a pleasant stay.Other than Hotel Elizabeth,I know I have another home in Cebu City!
