Discover Binondo:HO-LAND CHINESE DELICACIES

I was supposed to initially write a summary of our latest STAYCATION EXPERIENCE at RAMADA MANILA CENTRAL in Ongpin Street Binondo and the Food Adventure that me and my wife had but I realized that it would be too long even for a patient reader to even bother finishing. So I thought of breaking it into parts before creating the summary. Here's one of the interesting shops we tried.

We accidentally discovered HO-LAND CHINESE DELICACIES after eating at Sincerity Restaurant. We were to get a tricycle to Te Ya Kong Temple that time when I saw the sign.HO-LAND, ang cute ng name ayt? Ho of course is a Chinese surname common in the Philippines. So when locals hear the name Ho, they automatically think it's Chinese. And there's Holland in Europe. To come up with a brand name Ho-Land is therefore brilliant.

But this bakery is not just about a catchy trademark, they have one of the best hopia and other Chinese delicacies in Binondo.

HO-LAND Chinese Delicacies
I immediately looked at the FOOD MAP given to me by Ivan Man Dy who we accidentally met the day and before and it was there! It is actually one of the highlighted stores in the map ---

HO-LAND CHINESE DELICACIES is a family owned store known for its Hopia Mongo (Wax Gourd Cake).
I was surprised to find out though that they have an assortment of Hopia flavors I haven't heard of before. At meron palang Hopia Pineapple? And what about Hopia Ube-Macapuno Lite or Hopia Pandan-Macapuno? They come in different shapes and cool packaging.

With so many Hopia flavors to choose from,I indiscriminately picked around six flavors for around 40 pesos each making sure I had the original flavor----Hopia Baboy.

These Hopias kept my merienda sessions delictable for the days that followed.I love the pineapple hopia and the Hopia Ube-Langka.Yum Yum.
