SKY EYE: The Giant Ferris Wheel in Tagaytay #SkyFun

Tagaytay has become semi-dead (unless you own a prime property here) until recently when SM and Robinson's realty entered the scene. And now, there's another reason to be in Tagaytay ----- SKY FUN AMUSEMENT PARK.

The amusement park has rides like Ferris wheel,Viking, Nessi Coaster, Merry-Go-round etc. all crowded in a small space.SKY EYE is the name of the Ferris Wheel which is to date the largest in the Philippines. It measures 63 meters tall.Still pales in comparison with the Singapore Flyer but since it is located on the Taal Volcano-side, (next to a cliff)along Aguinaldo Highway, it gives an even more elevated feel.

In my case,I tried to ride Sky Eye because I wanted to see Tagaytay and Taal Volcano in another angle.Purpose achieved. It is refreshing to see the lake and the volcano from this perspective.

TAGAYTAY EYE (SKY EYE)
The Tagaytay Eye or "Sky Eye", is the Tallest Ferris Wheel in the country at 63 meters (207 ft) with 32 gondolas. Each Gondola could fit up to 4 adults. The windows are made of plastic instead of glass so it's a headache for photographers like me.Daanin nalang sa Lightroom!hehe

The Gondolas are airconditoned so that's quite a relief.Especially, the line could get long and since Sky Ranch is a tight space,it could get over crowded especially during weekends.

Additionally, a spacious 2,000 sqm-plus events tent will serve as a venue for rent for various events such as conferences, exhibits, concerts, expos, and even for social gatherings such as parties and receptions.
Since construction is ongoing, going here could be of a challenge and discomfort.
In twitter remarked:
"Sky Ranch entrance fee is 50% off til May 30.Fifty pesos nlng.Sky Eye is 150php.Although construction is all over p.medyo magulo."
One twitter contact quipped:

"medyo gulo? gulo talaga kulang parking at nagtrapik sa lugar :(
imagine ko gaano kagulo yun pag fully open na. Kanina trapik nalalo na pag fully open na."

I want to take note of the comment of one mommy bloggers who we were with.

"They are too greedy! The place is still a construction area and yet they have opened the park. It's too risky to kids" --just an observation."

Sky Ranch is a promising destination. That is, once the construction is completely finished. It's about time Tagaytay gets another attraction.Surely is another reason to brave the traffic-ridden streets leading there. Once at Sky Ranch, don't miss the Sky Eye, at only 150php, you get to enjoy a 20-minute ride and a wonderful view of Taal Volcano and surrounding areas.

  5. Wow. Now I have more reasons to revisit Tagaytay. But it's still under construction so perhaps I'll just wait for it to open and get more positive responses from people. Sky Eve look very inviting though. Thanks for the info Sir.
