PUERTO DEL SOL Bolinao: the jewel of the north

I underestimated Western Pangasinan. More so Bolinao. I never thought this part of Luzon could be a serious tourist spot. I was wrong. When I got the chance to explore the town last year, I was shocked. What's more shocking was when I discovered that a resort which is no doubt one of the best resorts in Northern Luzon lies in one of its beaches. PUERTO DEL SOL Beach Resort and Hotel Club.

Puerto del Sol is an ultra-exclusive seaside resort which offers ultimate elegance and grace to weary travelers and visitors. It has been rapidly developing its world class facilities to truely live up to its name as The Jewel of the North.

It is located along the white shoreline of Brgy. Ilog malino Bolinao Pangasinan facing the South China Sea. Actually, Bolinao is an interesting town ---rich culture, centuries old churches and historical landmarks and a variety of natural wonders like Patar White Beach, Patar Patar Lighthouse, enchanted cave, Patar Rock Formations, Bolinao Falls to name a few, which are within minutes away from the resort.

I have already made separate posts on these attractions before. In case you missed it, feel free to click the link below:

Of course the first thing you consider when choosing a Resort to stay are the facilities, more so, the rooms. With the latest addition of Cluster 3 and Mansion Villas, you can choose from a wide variety of rooms with queen or twin size beds either on the ground floor or second floor.

We were afforded of a quick tour of these rooms during our stay and I was really impressed.

elegant interiors

I love the colors of each room. Very warm on the eyes, and has this upbeat effect on the occupant. Well maintained, very clean and it seemed to me that they really paid attention on the details of the interior designs. From the bedsheets, to the lampshade, to the mirror on the wall to the foyer, alls well thought of.

Another thing I love about Puerto del Sol are the Nipa Huts. With a standard maximum occupancy of 4-5 persons, one could choose either inside the resort area or at the beach area. Either choice affords you the luxury  of relaxing in a serene environment.

Puerto del Sol is indeed a family dream vacation fantasy come true. It's amenities include a Fun Poool at the center of the resort, surrounded by manicured gardens, a jacuzzi, a childrens pool, a coffee shop by the sea ( which I really love) and a souvenir shop.

what about reading a book here or simply idling the day?

Puerto del Sol  also have spacious function rooms for meeting and banquets. For total relaxation,  lifestyle treatments are available-- full body massage, manicure, pedicure, foot spa, body milk spa. Sports and recreational facilities for the adventurous such as kayaks and canoes are ready for you to use. Billiards, hockey, dart and videoke are also available.

I also can't help but mention again their seaside cafe and restaurant, La Playa. This is where we spent our first lunch during the tour of Bolinao and our sponsored stay in Puerto del Sol. I imagine myself again eating with the view of the beach, the warm wind from the South China sea and the relaxing sound of the waves.

I miss Puerto del Sol and Bolinao. Now that it is summer, I highly suggest that you try this place.

looks like an oasis of peace ang Puerto Del Sol - port of one or port of solitude, tama ba? Kaso mukhang mahal sila, splurge resort sya.
