BICOL ADVENTURE ATV Extreme + ATV Packages

For a motorbike rider like me,I thought this one is going to be child's play.Sure it makes things a lot easier but I wasn't expecting it to be this fun. With a landscape dotted with big lava rocks ejected by the explosion of Mayon Volcano more than 100 years ago,the Mayon ATV RIDE sure isn't short of excitement.

ATV stands for All Terrain Vehicle. It is a four wheeled bike very easy to operate even those who don't know how to ride a motorbike can easily manipulate it.I know coz my wife and another friend didn't have any knowledge in riding but they learned it after a few seconds.

At their base  near Cagsawa Church, they will teach you how to ride the bike.Everything is on the right handle. All you need to do is press a ledge to accelerate and retract another to brake, all on your right handle.Once at full stop, the engine doesn't turn off.

CAGSAWA TRAIL by Bicol Adventure ATV Extreme

Since we were out of time,we availed of CAGSAWA TRAIL by Bicol Adventure ATV Extreme. For 599php per person, you can ride the ATV for 45minutes through an essay trail of volcanic rocks. This is good for beginners and for those like us who were out of time (and cash) as we were to catch our afternoon flight on the same day.I love the lava rocks scattered across the area and the vegetation that tries to survive from the harsh terrain.

I remember crossing two small rivers,or shall I say creeks? That's the fun part when you cross the river coz you cannot see the rocks underwater.Don't worry coz the guide will instruct you what to do.To slow down or to speed up,they will tell you the proper way of maneuvering your atv. It's pretty stable too, unless you hit on a big rock.

Our friend Mitch was so brave, there's this obstacle on the return route that she tried himself her atv almost hit a big rock. But she nailed it given the fact that she is a newbie in riding. If in case you feel like you can't handle a specific section, you can ask the guide to drive the ATV for you so as to clear the obstacle.

Overall,it was fun.Good view from your immediate surrounding. It should have been more lovely if Mayon was not covered by clouds that day. Then again,we enjoyed the ride. The two ladies were actually screaming periodically during the ride which means they really loved it.Next time,we will try the more difficult trail.I would like to navigate the 'Lava Trail",that's where the lava from the volcano actually flowed during the explosion, that must be really cool!!!!
