Who says Boracay is not for Solo Travel?I actually dread the idea of going to Boracay alone.For the many times I've been here,I always had my wife by my side.It is after all famous for couples and honeymooners.Travel +Leisure in its February 2013 Issue actually placed it 5th among the Most Romantic Island in the World.But as I said, in Boracay, there is something for everybody.
I was here in transient for the final leg of my #Roxas-Kalibo-Boracay Extended Weekend with Ati-Atihan as the main event.That didn't stop me from making the most of my stay here though.And I stayed in one of the best kept accommodation on the island.On top of the hills of Brgy.Yapak lies ALTA VISTA DE BORACAY.
MY REFUGE
Going back to Alta Vista de Boracay after basking in the sun at White Beach or partying in the many pubs of Boracay feels like going back home.Though alone,I feel familiar with the place that I can almost call it my own space.
At night,Alta Vista de Boracay is peaceful.Dim lights adorn the space giving it a serene appeal.The night Ibwas there,it was cool and breezy.Thanks to its location on top of the hill and surrounded by trees,the air is crisp and fresh.One of my favorite moments is when I walk to my room from the clubhouse/pool area.Ang sarap maglakad.You don't get this feel in the city.
BREAKFAST
What about this for a breakfast setting?
The restaurant is not directly under the Hotel.Meaning,it is on consignor basis.I heard it's under a new management.Noticed it with the food.Although I still feel it should add more selection into their breakfast buffet,the food is more tasty compared before.Sarap ng omelet nila.
FREE SHUTTLE
(To And From D-Mall and to Puka Beach!!!!)
And for the concern of other people,transportation to and from the resort is not a problem.They have an efficient shuttle service which is free to and from DMall from 5am-12midnight.That's hourly.Shuttle leaves Alta Vista 15minutes before the top of every hour (7:45,8:45,9:45 and so on) and arrives within 15minutes at DMall.It leaves DMall shortly after passenger disembarkation and reloading (6:00, 7:00,8:00 and so on).Easy!
And one thing I like about their free shuttle service is that you can arrange for it FOR FREE to take you to Puka Beach!
PUKA BEACH
Since 2008,I've been going to Puka Beach every time I visit Boracay.Must yan!It might be one of the main reasons why I am a big fan of Boracay,because it has a virgin,quiet side where it's not very crowded.Here,I can be myself.I can strip to my underwear for instance without feeling conscious.That's one thing I cannot do in White Beach.Kahihiyan ko lang sa dami ng mga magagandang hayop don!nyahaha!
And so,during my stay at Alta Vista de Boracay last January 21,I requested that they shuttle me to Puka Beach. (And they have a different entrance to Puka Beach which they share with other upscale resorts in the area,yung papuntang Shangrila,if you are aware of it,yun yun).
Puka Beach was as lovely as ever!

were also guests of Alta vista de Boracay and we shared the shuttle to
Puka Beach.Akala ko bakit dala nila maleta nila na napakalaki,yun pala
ang daming change costumes for the shoot! Haha
