bring me back in your arms TAM-AWAN

If you feel like Baguio is too much of a combination of modernity and old culture, go to TAM-AWAN Village where you can re-connect to the old Baguio and the Cordilleras.

Tam-Awan Village might look boring on the surface but what you get here is a deep cultural appreciation. If you are, lucky as we did the 2nd time, you get to see dancers in traditional costumes they call bahag.I am not really sure what particular dance they were performing when we arrived but it seemed like a courtship dance to me which I find interesting. The performers are young and I could tell that the boys take it into heart. The girls seem to be novice though and not serious about what they are doing.

Overall,it's good to watch them as if watching a ritual.

Tam-Awan seems to be into the game that time. There were artists around and I saw a few people having their caricature drawn.

There was also a section where one can order French Crepes done prepared by a Frenchman who has been residing in Baguio for quite sometime.

Some of the bloggers from Baguio went around the village while us bloggers from Manila lazied around the cafe where we had snack later on.I remember eating my first pinikpikan in this cafe a few months back. One cozy place with nice food.

A new section has been added recently housing a few house exhibits.Outside it is a large artwork devoted to Manny Pacquiao who is no doubt one of the most famous contemporary personality in the Philippines.
